After graduating high school, Lisa enrolled at Indian River Community College with the goal of pursuing a career in Criminal Justice. With a passion for the field sparked by a Law Studies class in high school, Lisa has dedicated herself to understanding the inner workings of the criminal justice system.
Despite facing many challenges, Lisa has remained resilient and dedicated to her goals. She has channeled her experiences into her work, striving to be the supportive and understanding mentor to her students that her own mentor was for her. Her unwavering commitment to her son and her determination to honor the memory of her son's father is truly inspiring. Today, she'll be sharing her journey of overcoming adversity and how she has used her experiences to help others.
