In this episode of A Soul’s Quest podcast, Dr. Brenda Rante shares her experiences on her quest. Born in New York City to a Filipino father and a Jamaican mother, Brenda dealt with the reality of self-identity and where she fits in in a multicultural society. Fortunately, Brena found solace in dancing.
The greatest journey we can take is not to a physical destination, but to the depths of our own souls. We've all heard clichés like "find yourself" and "know thyself," and while these phrases have been so overused they may seem meaningless, they are in fact the most important journeys we can ever make.
When you know yourself, and you love yourself, you become more powerful than you could ever imagine. But that doesn't mean it's easy—finding your true self is an arduous process filled with pain, joy, trial, error, and ultimately growth. If you reflect on your soul's quest, you could realize the beauty that unfolds as we follow our trajectory through this thing called life.
First, you have to start by asking yourself some tough questions. Who am I? What do I want? Why do I want it? What does it mean to be happy? What does it mean to be good? How can I be better than I was yesterday? And how can I make the world a better place for myself and those around me?
When you ask these questions honestly—and answer them honestly—you will find that your life changes in ways you couldn't have imagined before. Your relationships will deepen; your work will become more fulfilling; your days will become brighter, even if not easier. When you know who you are and what matters to you most
Join us on a shared experience with Brenda as she takes us through the ebbs and flows of her quest. The many lessons learned, the many challenges overcome, and her determination to follow through on her goals.
